Most people get a Swiss watch for a grad school present. I decided to spend a week learning to play the alphorn in switzerland instead. What follows are some thoughts from this trip far off the standard path.
Thank you for your refrigerator article. Dad and I are in the market and have been shopping for one. After looking a bit, we went to the bank and filled out papers for a home equity loan. If you become unemployed, you can get a horse and deliver ice to retired people whose refrigerators go on the blink. We put beer in our vegetable drawer, then if we can't find what we want, at least we feel happier when we close the door again.
I'm taking Isabelle to Brandy Chastain's testamonial soccer game tomorrow with Suzanne. Isabelle is well prepared. During her last practice the coach put 3 kids in green shirts and 3 in pink. Then they had to repeat...the green shirts run to this goal, the pink shirts run to this goal...now, kids repeat... where do the green shirts run? LUM
